Cast of big bang dating
As it turns out, they weren't just dating on TV, Kaley Cuoco revealed about her relationship with "Big Bang Theory" co-star Johnny Galecki.
The actress recently told CBS Watch Magazine that the co-stars had a serious and lengthy relationship which has been a complete secret until now. It was such a huge part of my life and no one knew about it," the actress said.
Cuoco, 24, and Galecki, 35, previously dated on the sitcom as well, as the characters Penny and Leonard.
Now, both the on and off-set realtionships are over, and Cuoco is ready to talk about it.
"This is the first time I've ever talked about it, ever," she said.
"It was a wonderful relationship but we never spoke a word abot it and never went anywhere together. It wasn't as fun as we wanted it to be," she added.
We were so protective of ourselves and the show and didn’t want anything to ruin that."She admits that the furtiveness of the relationship "made it sad.""That's not the kind of relationship I want. "Everyone was always asking, and we deny-deny-denied.
She believs that "there's got to be a happy medium."While Galecki has yet to comment on the relationship, Cuoco says that they kept it a secret for the sake of the show and their professional careers."We knew how to keep it deep inside and never bring it on that set, ever," she said.
Later in the interview she comments on the difficulty of working with a secret boyfriend in a professional manner.
"Moments were really hard, but we have such a love for each other - and we knew we weren't destined to be together - that we accepted it and said, ”Look, if we ever break up, we will be professional," she said.
While they did end up splitting before the holiday season, she says that it was mutual and they remain on good terms.
Though Cuoco says she is single, ready to date, and wants to get married eventually, she won't get involved with another co-worker.
The Big Bang Theory dropped it's first episode on September 24, 2007, giving rise to a worldwide geek phenomenon.
